The Brave Little Hedgehog
In a cozy burrow beneath an old oak tree lived a little hedgehog named Spike. Spike was the smallest hedgehog in his family, but he had the biggest heart. He loved to explore the meadow and play with his friends, but there was one thing he was afraid of—the dark forest at the edge of the meadow.
One day, while playing with his friends, Spike heard a faint cry for help coming from the dark forest. His friends were too scared to investigate, but Spike felt a strong urge to help whoever was in trouble.
“I’ll go see who needs help,” Spike said bravely, even though he felt a little scared.
With his tiny paws trembling, Spike ventured into the dark forest. The trees were tall and cast long shadows, but he followed the sound of the cries. After a short while, he found a baby rabbit trapped in a thorn bush.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you,” Spike said gently.
Using his small but sharp quills, Spike carefully cut through the thorns, freeing the baby rabbit. The little rabbit looked at Spike with grateful eyes. “Thank you for saving me,” the rabbit said. “I was so scared.”
Spike smiled. “I’m glad I could help. Let’s get you back to your family.”
As they made their way back, the baby rabbit told Spike about the beautiful glade hidden deep in the forest, a place filled with flowers and gentle streams. Spike realized that the forest wasn’t as scary as he thought.
When they reached the meadow, the baby rabbit’s family was overjoyed to see their little one safe. They thanked Spike for his bravery and invited him to visit their glade anytime.
From that day on, Spike wasn’t afraid of the dark forest anymore. He often visited the glade with his new friends and discovered that courage could turn fear into wonderful adventures.
