Smile- Short Scary Story
Late one night, Lisa sat alone in her apartment, scrolling through her phone. She had heard rumors about a cursed smile—one that, if seen, could drive someone insane. Dismissing it as another urban legend, she continued scrolling.
Suddenly, her phone pinged with a new message from an unknown number. The text read, “Turn around and smile.”
Chills ran down her spine. Curiosity overtook her fear, and she slowly turned her head. In the dim light of the room, her reflection stared back from a mirror. But something was wrong—her reflection wore a wide, unsettling grin, one that twisted her features in ways that shouldn’t be possible. Her real lips weren’t moving.
Frozen in terror, Lisa tried to look away, but her reflection’s grin grew wider, its eyes dark and hollow. Then, with a sudden jerk, her reflection raised a hand and waved.
It was then that Lisa realized her reflection was no longer following her movements.
The smile never left its face as it stepped forward, pressing against the glass, as though the mirror was no longer a boundary. Lisa screamed and ran for the door, but it was too late. She could hear the laughter—the same twisted, chilling laughter—right behind her.
And in that moment, the last thing Lisa saw was her own reflection smiling back… as if she had become the reflection herself.
In the silence that followed, her phone pinged again. Another message: “Your turn to smile.”
